The batch record opens here
Your seed enters the line by batch number, not by name.
The vehicle goes on the weighbridge, the batch is weighed and a record is opened. A sample is drawn at the same time: the inlet analysis is run on it and the quote rests on that analysis. Once the record is open, every station, operator and measurement the batch touches is logged to the same number.
Pre-cleaning removes coarse foreign matter — stalks, cob residue, stones and dust — right at the head of the line. Skip it and the dryer and screens work on foreign matter instead: waste rises and settings drift.
Different customers' batches never mix: the line is emptied at each batch change and a cleaning record is kept.
